Noah Byrne
Noah Byrne is a tenor, pianist, and composer, currently concluding year twelve music studies at Marryatville High School. He has always had a deep love for both music and performance, making his professional debut at age twelve playing “Frantik” in Leoš Janáček’s ‘The Cunning Little Vixen’ with State Opera SA in 2019. Since then, Noah has performed twice at The Adelaide Cabaret Festival: as a solo artist in Virginia Gay’s 2025 ‘Opening Night Variety Gala’ and in the 2024 ‘Class of Cabaret’ program. He also performed in the Adelaide Festival in Neil Armfield’s 2021 adaptation of Benjamin Britten’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and he will soon perform with State Theatre SA as “Young Rhino” in Alex Vickery-Howe’s ‘Triggered’; as part of their November 2025 “Great Australian Bites”.
Over his career Noah has always had a deep love for music theatre, being highly involved in the Australian amateur theatre scene. With Pelican Productions, he played Davey in their ‘Newsies Jr.’ (2024) and Kristoff in ‘Frozen Jr.’ (2023). In 2023, he traveled to Newcastle to compete in the Junior Theatre Festival, where he performed as Evan Goldman in ’13 Jr.’, Davey in ‘Newsies Jr.’, and Hiccup in Australasia’s premiere performance of ‘How To Train Your Dragon Jr.’. He is a regular participant of Pelican Productions’ annual Music Theatre Camp, which has afforded him the opportunity to perform roles such as Nick Carraway, Marius, Fred Casely, Elder Green, and Harry the Horse, and he shares his passion for music theatre as a teacher for students aged 4-16 at Theatre Bugs.
Outside of live theatre, Noah has been fortunate enough to compete at the World Choir Games in NZ, the Festival of Voices in Tasmania, and Generations in Jazz in Mount Gambier; thanks to his previous commitments to Young Adelaide Voices and The Festival Statesmen Chorus as well as his current scholarship at Marryatville High School. His dedication to his career has helped earn him recognition through the Lobethal Harmony Club’s 2022 Clara Serena Memorial Scholarship, the Male Metropolitan Choir of SA’s 2023 June Genders Award, Marryatville High School’s 2024 David Hunter Scholarship, and his election as the 2025 Music Captain for Marryatville’s Specialist Interest Music Centre.
