Welcome to Club Eurovision!

The Aussie miniature Eurovision Song Contest – but with more cheese.
Coming to Arkaba Hotel, Adelaide 19 March 2025

Join us for a wild night of Eurovision-inspired pop bangers, vigorous flag-waving and mad
cheering. It’s destined to wake up our beloved sleepy Adelaide… and your mum.

Part musical. Part community competition. Part party.

Club Eurovision is the all-Australian, all-inclusive song contest of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
It’s just like the Eurovision Song Contest. But smaller, funnier – and you don’t need to pay for a
flight to Switzerland to witness it’s glory.
Clap and cheer along to a mix of Eurovision classics and original pop songs written and
performed by local Adelaidean talent. Vote for your favourite act on the night – and put them
one step closer to wonder.
Winners land a spot in the professional production of Song Contest: Almost Eurovision. And the
audience gets to say, “yeah, I did that” as they book tickets to the big musical in December 2025!

Calling all songwriters! We’re looking for 4 new songs for the greatest Eurovision homage ever. Club Eurovision is where YOUR song will be heard, where the audience will vote and if your song has the right amount of Eurovision goodness and gets through to the top 4, it will be in the 2025 production of Song Contest Almost Eurovision.

Step-by-step guide to Club Eurovision

Step - 1

Local singers and songwriters of all cultural backgrounds submit their pop song to us here at Club Eurovision.

Step - 2

Our team selects the top seven and helps each artist transform their song into a fully formed pop banger.

Step - 3

The artists join rehearsals with the professional supporting cast. Here, our Adelaidean talent transforms into their quirky Eurovision character.

Step - 4

Club Eurovision takes the stage at the Arkaba Hotel. Audiences vote for their favourite act, and the top two original songs progress to the Club Eurovision ‘Grand Final’.

Step - 5

Six more Club Eurovisions, with the same process above. More joyful tears, more glitter,more dopamine.

Step - 6

Club Eurovision Grand Final in October 2025. All finalists compete – and will do anything to win. The overall winning four songs land a coveted spot in the professional production of Song Contest: Almost Eurovision playing at Arts Theatre, Adelaide in December 2025.

Production effects and running time

Club Eurovision is approximately 90 minutes, including a 15 minute interval. We recommend
allowing enough time to travel to the Arkaba Hotel and arriving up to 40 minutes prior to the
start of the show.
Bring your phone so you can vote. And don’t forget to buy a drink! Or the pub will come for us,
and we can’t afford to pay their legal fees.
Please note this production contains theatrical smoke, strobe lighting, flags and clackers. Lots of
it.
